Welcome to Yesterday

Did God make a mistake, when I was born in 1968? Of course not, but there have been days when I secretly imagine it had been 1868!
I love all things yesteryear. Well, nearly all things. Give me a modern day hospital any day. But there is something enchanting about a country lane leading to an old farm house, with a neglected windmill or chicory kiln in the distance, or a dried up well covered in ivy. A glimpse of what was, many lost days ago, is not enough for me. I want to see and hear and smell and taste ... well, you get it I'm sure. I love all things old and old fashioned.
The way a day unfolded and the purpose of its people enchant me and lead me to search them out, in what I read and in what I write. I must admit though, that I am very glad for the day in which I do live and all its advantages. Thank God for modern medicine, digital technology and 21st century transportation - and not forgetting, the internet, which allows me to share my discoveries of yesterday’s world as it collides with the realities of my here and now.

So please join me as I explore the world of writing, and discover the fables of yesterday which God has put in my heart.

Psalm 77:11
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
