Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine!

When my garden is behaving it's a beautiful display of of pink, white and blue flowers. That's just how I like it. Reds and yellows are fine in their own world, but they are not generally invited to clash with my flower beds. So when a golden cluster caught my eye at the foot of my creamy rambler rose I went closer to inspect this invasion.

I should not have been surprised to discover the first bouquet of autumn leaves draped around my garden, very at home and clearly calling their friends and family to join them. For a few weeks each year I welcome the yellows, the oranges and the reds. They are the confetti of my favorite season, and like many living in Melbourne, I am starting to notice the changing hues as they begin to fall around me in the dappled sunlight of Autumn.

Another beautiful gift I have to celebrate this season is the Sunshine Award I recently received from a dear friend Karen Lange of Write Now. Karen is a freelance writer and online writing coach who shares her love of writing with many of us who follow her blog. Thanks for the award Karen and all the inspiration!

I am encouraged to remember that God is also spoken of as a sun whose love radiates over those who walk in His light.

"For the Lord God is a sun and a shield: the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Psalm 84:11

Whether it's Autumn splendor or Spring warmth you're looking for, may the love of God invade your day and shine on you with His goodness.
